Rainy Day in Georgia

Good Afternoon Everyone,
As the title suggest it is a rainy day here in Georgia. I am not complaining though at all. As you know my studio is in the top section of the old barn here on the farm and it has a tin roof. Oh how lovely it sounds when the rain is peppering down. I truly love working at the studio when the days are rainy and sweet smelling. Since the tornado of last April tore the roof off I have to admit I haven’t had the heart to paint or get the studio back in order. I go up there, stand, look around at all the work, sigh, and leave with nothing accomplished. Now it is April again and I can’t believe I have let an entire year pass me by and still in a state of disarray. But finally I have inspiration again and have spent the entire day at the studio, cleaning, organizing, and listing items on my two etsy.com shops. I have managed to get some of the paintings that survived the storm cleaned up and back on the walls. My goal is to just get the front room in shape for visitors, and customers. And I am going to curtain off the back sections until I can face that part. I just hope my visitors to the shop will understand about the mess.
I have a drawing that I have just listed on the etsy.com site I would like to share with you.
It is just a little thing but it is a start!

It was done with Prismacolor colored pencils. This is one of my favorite things to work with in my drawings and paintings. The quality of the pencils is excellent. You can find some of the Prismacolor pencils in my art supply shop on etsy, (ArtBarnSupplies) if you would be interested in trying them yourself.

This is just a short post to let you know I am still around and haven’t given up. You just wouldn’t think a rainy day would get ones artistic juices flowing again, but you just never know what will stir an artist at any given moment.
Hope you each have a blessed and wonderful day, Sherry
